Making memories: Five Months

5 months old

eating: nursing great.eating every 2-3 hours for no more than 10 minutes at a time

sleep: much better, sleeping for 4-5 hours at night. moved to big boy crib and transition was great. stopped swaddling arms..and starting sleep training and going good so far. bedtime is at 7 pm and he's up at 6 or 7 for the morning. takes a morning nap for 30-40 minutes then an afternoon nap for 1-2 hours and sometimes an evening nap for about 20 minutes.

really starting to develop a personality. found his feet and loves to play with them. loves his baby toys and is interested in it all especially the ones that crinkle. He will play with a plastic or paper bag for 20 minutes. (or sisters deflated birthday balloon) Holds his hands together all the time and likes to look at hands or likes to hold mommy and daddy's hands and suck on them. sucks and chews on everything..starting to teeth for sure. doing awesome at tummy time and likes to sit up..with assistance..still very wobbly. upgraded to big boy tub..has his little recliner seat in tub. hated it at first but really likes bath time now. Pees every time we put him in the tub..haha guess the water makes him have to go. He laughs and giggles so much and is super ticklish under chin and arms.

he is loosing lots of hair...its very thin and will sometimes come out on my hand when I rub his little head. He still has a bald spot in the back from where he lays his head. He just looks like a little old man. haha

such a mama's boy..really only wants me..he will let daddy or other people hold him but I have to be in sight and he gets over it quick. sometimes when daddy holds him he literally tries to jump out of his arms into mine. every time I pick him up he gets so excited, squeezes me and makes a "ha" sound. It's cute!!

had our first pediatrician visit at our new doctor here and LOVE her!! She made some great suggestions and was so friendly. both kids loved her. C did great with his shots..and barely cried. He actually fell asleep during the appointment when sister was getting her 2 year check up!

Firsts: Had first trip to zoo and train ride for sisters birthday

Outings: mall, pediatrician, target, hobby lobby, grocery store, park, library

his mild colic is getting better..we barely have to use the gripe water but still do once in a while. He has a certain cry (more like scream) that we know is his tummy and he calms down after we give it to him. has really good mornings and afternoons but really fussy evenings. He does not like to sit still..wants to be going or walked around. He loves the stroller and to be outside so we have been taking evening walks that help. he never cries in the stroller and sometimes falls asleep. Also likes to ride in sisters new wagon.
