Three Months

3 month old

weight: 14 lbs

clothes: 3-6 months, some 6 month

diaper size: size 2

eating: eats every 1-2 hours for 10 minutes each, boy loves to snack.

sleep: falls asleep around 6-7 pm in swing for 3-4 hours then moved to rock n play and wakes up every 2 hours.

Smiles so much, found tongue and thumb, loves to suck on fist-tries to fit whole thing in his mouth, started swaddling at night which helps but sleeping is sporadic. (sleeps 2, 3, 4 hours at a time) Loves his swing and will sleep 2 hours in it during the day. Still having some tummy issues but gripe water is helping, only have to use once a week or so.

loves tummy time and is so good at it, loves to look around and see the sights, sounds, colors.

loves to talk and tell stories. LOVES to get his diaper changed..he will be scream crying and once we start changing the diaper he stops and smiles. watches cartoons (bubble guppies and curious George with sister) LOVES to watch everything his sister does. Loves when we tickle his toes.

First walk in stroller-slept the whole time.

First outing was to visit J's for Uncle J's birthday..cried in a car on the way a little then fell asleep then slept the whole time at restaurant. also went out to a Mexican restaurant. slept the whole time too. (in carseat)

had first cold..lots of sniffles.

Two Months

2 month olds

eating: nursing 9-12 times a day, every 2 hours. Sleeps 3-3.5 hours at night. gave me a spurt of 5 hours one night. the feeding at 3 or 4 am for some reason he never wanted to go back to sleep..wanted to party.

lots of growth spurts this month which means hungry every hour and up every 2 hours at night. silly boy only feeds for 10 minutes and doesn't want anymore then is hungry one hour or half hour later. 

this month was the most hard, stressful, exhausting and frustrating month. We went through almost 2 bottles of gripe water to ease the tummy issues. I have limited my dairy intake which has helped immensely. Fussy, fussy baby that wanted to be held constantly. If he wasn't eating or sleeping he was fussing. We found it hard to find solutions this month. Lots of gas issues and grunting when going to the bathroom. 

Still hates to be swaddled. Loves his bouncy chair but has to have it bouncing and vibrating at all times. Loves to lay flat on the couch, floor or on his play mat. Laid flat and was calm for a good 20-30 minutes. LOVES to have his diaper changed. He will be screaming and once I start changing his diaper, he calms down. 

loves bath time now...no more tears at all. mommy wraps him in a towel warm from the dryer after which he likes.

first smile and rolled over tummy to back during tummy time. Very strong baby, really good at holding his head up. When holding him hes very wiggly.

First trip to the mall-hated car seat at first and cried the whole way there..then slept the whole time in his stroller..then cried the whole way home. Starting to like his car seat though now.
