fun productive weekend

Thought I would update about this weekend with bullet points-no pictures:-(
Friday
-rough work day
-get off work-YAY FINALLY
-drive to smyrna to pick up our glazy dazy pottery stuff (everyones turned out great)
-meet up with ry, korby and barron for dinner at steak and shake (yum)
-go home and go to bed early (sooooooo tired)
SATURDAY
-wake up early
-head to carrollton
-talk to mommy on my way
-go to tims and pick up our SAVE THE DATES!!!
-design our invitations with Tim
-meet erinie for lunch at corner cafe (yum)
-take newty and jessicas engagement pictures
-head to villa rica
-visit with pops and stacy, coop and molly
-get sushi to-go
-come home to my shi shi for a girls nite with sushi until ry gets off
-watch a movie with ry when he gets off
-go to bed early again (so tired again)
SUNDAY
-wake up early
-take Shiloh for a walk (the weather was BEAUTIFUL!)
-eat breakfast with ry
-watch some tv with ry
-go to lunch at raffertys for yummy burgers & cheese fries with ry
-go to mens wearhouse and picked out the boys tux's for the wedding (they are all going to be sooo handsome)
-go to Shane Co and pick out our wedding bands (time to start saving)
-go to petsmart and get shi her doggie food
-go to best buy (just to look)
-come home
-start laundry
-watch movies with my fiance and pup
-help ry with dinner
-update blog!

It was a very FUN, RELAXING weekend and the weather was AMAZING!! in the high 60s all weekend..I just hope it lasts.. but you never know with GA weather..I'm ready for SPRING!!
I feel much accomplished with the wedding planning!
-Save the dates printed-CHECK
-finalize guest list and get addresses -HALF CHECK
-design wedding invitations-CHECK
-Guys tux's-CHECK
-wedding bands-CHECK

lots of checks..next step is book honeymoon (WE'RE GOIN ON A CRUISE!!!!) & get ry's passport! yay!! 7 more months!!! GET EXCITED!!! WE ARE!!!

RIP fish

I came home from work the other day and saw..that my fish had died..*sad day* this was me and Ry's "first pet" I called him lots of things..fish, fishy, stupid fish, and ry called him champ..He had a good life..and I looked forward to feeding him everyday for lunch..Ry says that betta's don't live that long anyway and he's surprised that this betta has made it this whole time anyway..

I'll miss you fish..

gloomy days

It's rainy and cold and GLOOMY and it's got me down..I'm ready for spring!

There is a PLUS to this week though..I get to wear my awesome rainboots from the bestie! yay LOVE THEM! 

rain rain go away..come again..another day..(a day I can sleep in and stay in my pjs all day)

Quidrople date

FUN WEEKEND!!! what started out as a double date later turned into a quidrople(?) date! 5 fun couples going out to eat!

Friday night, me and ry had meggie and chris over for dinner..it was a fun double date! We ate spaghetti for dinner and brownies for dessert! We don't get to see them much because of all our crazy schedules..so it was GREAT to catch up with them! They also hadn't met Shi yet so they were excited to meet her and of course, LOVED her!

Saturday night, we had plans to do another double date with korby and barron at the Old Mill restaurant in downtown acworth (a possible rehearsal dinner location) and then the other couples got added to the list! It was so fun to catch up & see everyone! We missed the rest of our other friends..but we had a good time.and dinner was sooooo good!

Glazy Dazy

Last weekend me and the girls painted pottery at Glazy Dazy! It was super fun! we all had bought a Groupon for spend $10 and get $20 gift certificate! They had some really cool stuff to paint!

I made a heart plate and a cupcake plate..

doctor visit

Shiloh had her First Vet Visit (with us)

She was very nervous and did her "army crawl" that she always does when she dosen't want a bath..

daddy and me comforted her and the nurse gave her lots of yummy treats!! 

She was a very good girl and did such a great job!! We have a very healthy pup!

after the vet, we went to Chick-fil-a for lunch and the lady in the drive thru gave her another treat! She's super lucky!! so proud of my good girl!

tramatic experience

we had quite the experience at the dog park today! I wanted to get Shiloh out of the house today because she has had cabin fever from all this COLD weather and hasen't been able to get out much besides potty breaks. She has also been a very good girl this week and the weather was nicer today..so I decided we would go to the puppy park. Auntie korby came with too! Well everything went fine..shiloh was pretty anti-social as usual but she got to run around without a leash on.
well-this man came into the dog park with his GREAT DANE..if you know these dogs..they are HUGE! DINASAUR DOGS...he was sooo pretty..and I have heard that they are "gentle giants" well-with what happened today..I'm not so sure..
so me and korby are minding our own business..keeping watch on shiloh and just talking..then all of a sudden..we look over and this GREAT DANE is ON TOP OF this poor golden lab mix dog....it was soooooooo soooooo scary! I thought it was just a little dog tif at first..but this dog had the other dog by the throat and was thrashing around..like it was trying to kill it...the other dog was crying out in pain....i felt sooo bad...I couldn't help because I didn't want to get bit..and I didn't want shiloh to get in on the fight...
The owner of the golden lab mix dog was trying to save his poor pup and got bit in the midst of this..he finally got his dog free and was running to the exit with his dog to get away....well at this point I had grabbed shiloh and had her hooked up to her leash..me and korby went running for this old man to see if his dog and he was ok..he was very upset.....his dog was fine..but bleeding a little on its ear..and he was bleeding on his hand...
and the thing that OUTRAGES me is that the owner of the great dane..didn't seem to care...when the fight broke out..he didnt call his dogs name..didnt try to help break up the fight...and finally when this poor old man got him and his dog free and was running for the exit..the great dane followed like it was coming for more and the owner did nothing..WHAT THE HELL?!!? I was sooo shocked this had all happened..it was sooo fast and so scary! It could have been shiloh! I wished that i had said something to that awful owner..you shouldn't bring your tempermental awful dog to a park with other dogs where it could harm it...
well thankfully..there was a off duty cobb county sherriff walking his dog who witnessed it and called it in to report it..I hope that guy pays...I understand that dogs can be tempermental and you never know what could happen..but the fact that he didn't help or apoligize..his dog could have killed this other guys dog..and they just wanted a fun day at the park like us..
It was awful.....we immediatly left the dog park and I felt like I was going to throw up....I started to cry because it was sooo upsetting..just seeing it and hearing that poor dog cry out in pain..it was horrible.
we will not be going to the dog park anytime soon...I'm soooo thankful that no one was hurt BADLY and it wasn't my dog.....I dont know what I would have done if it was my dog.....
dogs have a LARGE part of my heart..my dogs..my family's dogs..my friends dogs..even dogs I don't know..I love all dogs..and when something bad happens to them..it kills me..
I don't understand people who raise dogs outside..or raise them to be mean..I just don't understand it and don't like it at all..

Beauty & the Beast

Last night, me and Mandi went and saw Beauty & the Beast at the Fox theatre downtown! It was our "christmas present" to each other:-) It was soooo much fun!!!

It was amazing actually..I wish I could sing..they looked like they were having so much fun!

my ONLY disappointment was her golden dress..it was like a pale yellow..not at all a vibrant yellow dress..but other than that..SO AWESOME!!

Bruschetta Chicken Bake

what does one do when they are trapped in their home during an ice storm for 3 days?! COOK! I have been cookin up alot of yummy stuff and thought I would share this recipe for Bruschetta Chicken Bake (this is Ry's FAVORITE dish I make--he wants it everyday!) and its super easy!

What you will need:

1 pkg of chicken stuffing mix

1 can of diced tomatoes, undrained (OR I use 1 can of cream of chicken soup)

1/2 cup of water

2 cloves of garlic

1 1/2 lbs. of chicken breasts-cut into bite-sized pieces

1 tsp of dried basil leaves

1 cup (or more) of shredded mozzarella cheese (WE LOVE CHEESE)

first step is to combine-stuffing mix, diced tomatoes (or cream of chicken soup) and water. 

dice up chicken into yummy bites..and place in a 13x9 baking dish.

COVER the chicken with CHEESE! then add your basil.. 

then cover with your stuffing mixture.. 

then cover with MORE cheese! 

Bake in oven for 30 min or until chicken is cooked at 400 degrees!

and WOOOLAAAA-a EASY YUMMY chicken bake! It is very yummy and as I said before..Ry LOVES it!!

the other nite me and ry made burgers and I made HOMEADE CRINKLE fries! Mom bought me this cool crinkle cut knife thing to use for our fried pickle nights.but I used them on potatoes for yummy crinkle fries and topped it with seasoned salt! YUMMO! 

and remember my turkey tortilla soup? I made it again last night..this time with chicken..it was yummy..and ry liked it better than the turkey. Soup is the perfect meal for SNOW DAYS! 

what shall I cook today? I'm thinking...mini muffins in my mini cupcake maker! yum!

another snow day

boss just called and said that the office will be closed again tomorrow!

good news is it's the 3rd snowday..another day to sleep in and enjoy hot chocolate on the couch with my puppy.

bad news is we might have to work the weekend depending on how busy we are..pooey...o well..enjoying my days off and trying to be productive being stuck at home. at least its warm and we have power:-)

SNOW DAY!!

Today and tomorrow are SNOW DAYS!!!! We had a CRAZY BLIZZARD come through GA last night and I think atlanta got a total of 6 inches of snow plus ICE on top! yikes!! It was crazyness in this state for sure! The Mayor declared Georgia a state of Emergency!!

Ry of course had to go to work-so he took my 4 wheel drive car and thankfully made it to work and back safetly.  When he got home we went SLEDDING!

poor shi...at this point she was like "maaaa..can we go back inside?! its FREEZING!!" she didn't like the ice at all!

I'm so glad I'm getting a 4 day weekend! yay! I needed this! the plan for tonight is to curl up on the couch with a hot chocolate, S'mores and watch pretty little liars! Excited to sleep in tomorrow again!

all we wanna do is dance!

a couple of weeks ago, erin, alicia and korby came over and erin brough her just dance game over to play with that she got for christmas! It was soooo much fun!!!

it's this "video" game that you mirror image the person on tv with your wii remote to different songs/dances! and the better you keep up with the image..the more points you get. I'm not very good because I don't have much rhythm..haha but it was still sooo fun..and a HUGE workout!!

I had so much fun..that I went out and bought Just dance 2..so me and erin could have both games between the both of us!! haha this one is so fun too..they have more songs and they have duo dances where it's 2 people that dance synchronized dances together..SUPER FUN!! Heidi and Matt came over this past weekend and we played..haha! 

I just found out that they came out with ZUMBA DANCE for the wii...which will be my next purchase..this is my FAVORITE workout that they have classes for at the gym!! Now I won't have to leave my own home!

Today is FRIDAY!!! and the best part is it's Ry's FRIDAY too!!! It's very rare that he gets a WHOLE weekend off! super excited to be doing this..all weekend!
