luckiest girl in the world

I have to give a shout out to my amazing hubby!

I am so lucky so be able to call him my husband! He is my rock and my best friend!

He is such a great cook..I don't even know why I bother trying..

He is always making me and others laugh! needless to say..there is never a dull moment in our house and I don't think an hour goes by without laughter in this home..

He knows how to turn my bad mood into a great one..I can never stay mad at him..

He's always there to bring me back to reality and tell me to stop worrying..2 things I have problems with

He understands me and is always so patient with me

He works sooooo hard at his job and it has been recognized with his promotion and our move

not only is he working hard at work he is very helpful at home with yardwood, cleaning, cooking, grocery shopping and taking care of our shiloh baby.

I don't know what I would do without this man..He makes my life complete!

brother's visit

my brother and his gf came to visit us this weekend! we had sooo much fun!! we haven't seen J since our wedding so it was really great to see him and we have never met his gf so it was nice to meet her too! they got here on saturday and we took them out for some BBQ and then Froyo for dessert!

the next day we went to the university to walk around. If you know my brother you know he is and always has been a huge alabama fan! so he was just in awe of it all! 

then we went to the Paul Bryant Museum! It was very cool! They had lots of history of the alabama football and their famous coach. We got to see the old uniforms and past championship rings. We also got to see the trophy they just won! my brother was like a little kid in a candy store! 

its so pretty!! 

afterwards we met ry for lunch for some mexican!! yum! and then we went and played put put! us against them! and I hit my FIRST HOLE IN ONE!!! ry was so proud of me!!

we had a really great visit! even though it was short we are grateful that we got to see them!

They are finishing their spring break in GA!

moms visit

this weekend mom came to visit! It was very short but very fun! we did alot though in the 2 and a half days she was here so it didn't go by to to fast! She got here Thursday and me and shi took her to our park we found for a hike! It was such a beautiful day to do it too!

we also tried a new mexican restaurant that is really yummy!! this is what the ceiling looks like!

Friday we ate lunch and shopped allll day! It was so much fun! my mom is such a great shopping buddy! I also took her to gigi's cupcakes! I have been trying to take her there for years! I finally got to get mom a gigis cupcake and she loved it! yum!

Brother comes next weekend! yay! can't wait!

weekend update

a delay in updating only because we are so busy! I got a JOB!! not only did I get a job I got a job that I LOVE with some really AWESOME people!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my boss! It is the complete opposite of my job situation in GA! I'm so excited to be apart of this team and I am learning soooo soo much already! This move really was a blessing..

last weekend we had some visitors!!! E & T came to visit!! we had such a fun visit!

They got into town friday and we had dinner and then dessert at Gigi's cupcakes! yum!

then we went around the town-showing them the campus and shops.

 

we ate yummy BBQ at the famous place here 

and had dessert at TCBY (erin's favorite) after.. 

LOVE them! so glad they were able to come and visit!

mom comes in town tomorrow!! I CAN'T WAIT!!

Spring is here!

Well technically not yet but it totally feels like it here! Since the weather was so nice today..I planted some flowers!

aren't they pretty? 

Shiloh thought they smelt good too!

I found a project on Pinterest and did it! It was so easy and fun! 

the finished project! excuse the water stains..I watered it just before I took the pic!

I think it turned out great! 

our front door has some pretty color now!

I also planted some seeds for some pretty flowers in these.. 

I will keep you updated on how they bloom! 

then after gardening..me and shi did this..for the rest of the day..

missing childhood

I've really been missing my childhood alot lately..I think for a handful of reasons..

1. I found This on the Internet and it immediately made me want to play with my barbies. I have so many memories of playing with my barbies..I would be in our playroom for HOURS just playing with them as a kid. I had a HUGE mansion, a van and convertible, a pool, hot tub, PINK kitchen, washer and dryer, mall, supermarket and TONS AND TONS of clothes and shoes. If my parents didn't have my barbies still packed up with them..I would totally have busted them out this week to play. I hope my future daughter will love barbies as much as me!

2. when my bestie was here we went to the children's book section of barnes and noble so she could find books for her classroom and was overcome with memories of all the books I had as a kid. My parents have all our books packed up with them..once we start a family..I can't wait to unpack these!

3. the author of the Berenstain bears died this week..how sad..I think I had every book and movie about the Berenstain bears.

4. It's girl scout cookie time and I have alot of wonderful memories of being a girl scout. My mom being the BEST leader and I have lots of memories of me falling on my butt as I slipped on the Chicago ice to sell the cookies door to door! my parents would take me around to what seemed like a ton of neighborhoods in our mini van. My mom made me tie ribbon on all the boxes ordered with a thank you note attached to each order. I hated doing it back then but now I miss it! I can't wait for my daughter to be a girl scout and I can be a leader just like my mom!

5. While at Hob Lob the other day..I found these..

and almost bought them just to do..how fun were these?!

6. my HUSBAND..bought legos yesterday at walmart..

haha I guess he was missing a little bit of his childhood too!

we are both little kids at heart..and don't get me wrong..being a grown up has GREAT advantages! (I ate ice cream for dinner the other night-just cause) but sometimes you just miss the times when you didn't have a worry in the world..the good times of when all you cared about was what to play with next! me and my brother were SPOILED with toys! But I remember all of them and all the good times we had with them..

I also miss Polly pockets..

I had both of these..top is a daycare and bottom is a school! 

I think my parents have these of mine too..can't wait to break them open to play and share with our kids!

I was homesick for my childhood this week and bought this..
