last weekend, I packed up the car and headed to GA for a weekend visit!! Ry is already working in MS so this was my first road trip with the baby by myself! We stayed with pops and sasa and got to see lots of friends!! It really was a great visit!
I need to brag a bit though...I have the most amazing baby! seriously!! she is 3 months old and did amazing in the car!! The trip is about 2.5 hours and she did WONDERFUL! On the way there...she fell asleep as soon as we got on the interstate..once we hit the GA border, she woke up but no crying. I was nervous that she might be hungry so I stopped at a rest stop so I could feed her and also let Shi have a potty break (shi did excellent on our trip too) I fed her, changed her and let her stretch a bit and back on the road we went..we were only about 30 min away from pops and sasas. When we were about 15 minutes away she started to cry...but stopped as soon as we pulled in their neighborhood! Then once we parked..she had a mini meltdown...she was MAD!!! I think she was over being in the car cause I've never heard her scream that bad! We finally calmed her down and after about 20 minutes, she was her smiley self again! All weekend she did great! she was in a new environment and she slept like normal at night and with her naps (actually I think she slept more than normal) She was passed around to so many people who wanted to meet her and she was in the car going back and forth to meet everyone and not once did she fuss!! What a great baby we have!! I was sooooo sooooo impressed with her!!! On the way home, she fell asleep 45 minutes into the trip and slept THE WHOLE WAY HOME!!! no tears or meltdown when we got home either! Seriously?! I couldn't ask for a better baby!! god truly blessed me with her!!!
anyway...our weekend was filled with friends and lunch dates, going out to dinner, hosting a bridal shower and meeting new people!!
Friday we met up with one of my old coworkers for a lunch date! we went to Marietta diner for some yummy food! R stared at the cakes..She's totally my daughter! haha

after the shower on Saturday, pops and sasa took us out for dinner to our favorite restaurant!! Erinie came too!!

daddy's bff G and his wife E came over to see R! They came to the hospital when we had R but wasn't able to hold her because she was in nicu! They were so excited to finally hold her!! R LOVED G!!! she thought he was sooo funny!!!

it was a fun filled full weekend!! So glad R was able to meet more new people that we love!! We always have fun in GA when we go back! Can't wait for the next trip!
