Christmas with the M's

The M's came to visit!! It was sooo great to see them! I'm so glad they are moving closer!! They stopped on their way to GA to visit and do christmas! It was so much fun!! It was B, B, C and both doggies! We had a house full but it was still so fun!!

we started the day off right at waffle house for breakfast! yum! 

then we did some shopping, I showed them the town and B and I got cupcakes!

then we came home and when ry got off work we visited and he cooked a yummy dinner!

Shi was soooo good with C..she LOVED her!!

then we opened presents!! This was C's first christmas! I'm soooo glad I was able to see her open her gifts from us in person!!!

Christmas with H & M

H & M came into town for our yearly christmas get together! we had so much fun! Ry made his famous baked ziti (gluten free version) for dinner and we opened presents! We had a great visit with them! Love our yearly tradition!

24 weeks

 

Pregnancy Highlights:

 

How far along? 24 weeks

Size of baby: Grapefruit

Weight Gain: .6 lbs according to the doctor

Maternity Clothes: wearing my maternity jeans and some shirts! Need to go buy some work pants!

Gender: It's a GIRL!!!

Movement: LOTS! esp right after I eat and before bed and when I wake up in the am!

Sleep: good! only get up to pee once a night!:-)

Symptoms: lots of heartburn and reflux:-(

What I miss: still sushi!!!

Cravings: salads and sour patch kids!

Aversions: none really

Best moment so far: really starting to show and getting to wear my maternity clothes!

Also, spending the holidays with our family and friends! Our baby got lots of christmas presents!!

What I am looking forward to:  registering and getting the nursery ready:-)

It's a girl!

 It's a girl!!! It's a girl!! It's a girl!! we are super excited!! Bring on the bows and lots of PINK!
Ry and I found out a couple weeks ago what we are having!! we went into our appointment really nervous and excited!! We were kind of hoping for a boy first but knew we would be happy with whichever gender is was, as long as it's healthy!
The ultrasound took FOREVER! She was not cooperating! The nurse kept showing us all the different parts, the head, feet, hands, spine, flood flow..it was so cool but we were like"can you just tell us already?!" haha She made us wait till the very end! The nurse had me lay on my left side to get a better picture! Then she had me flip onto my right side! The umbillical cord was in between the legs making it hard for her to get a picture! She then said.."yep thats exactly what I thought-you're having a little girl!" Ry and I couldn't stop smiling! They said that they were 99.9% sure! Everything measured great! and the heartbeat was perfect!! Our doctor was very pleased!

After our appointment, Ry and I went out to dinner to celebrate then went to the store to buy our first baby stuff!!

this is all the stuff we bought! I picked out the pink outfit and elephants (her nursury theme) and ry picked our the purple outfit and purple batman pjs! haha

Watching Ry pick out stuff for our baby girl just made my heart melt! I can't wait to see him as a daddy! He is so excited!

Ps. I got really EXCITED in the BARBIE aisle!! woohoo!!

 

we really wanted to have a fun gender reveal party but all of our friends and family are just so far away. It was just too hard! So we decided to send a little package to surprise our family and close friends!

and when they opened it, this is what they saw!

 

It was sooooooo hard to keep this a secret for so many days waiting on the post office to deliver but it was totally worth it in the end!! Our family and friends LOVED the package and were so excited to get it! (and it's chocolate-YUM!)

we decided to have a "mini" photo shoot for our christmas card to announce the gender to the rest of our family and friends! Here are some of the pics from the shoot!

as hard as it was to keep this secret! It was totally worth it in the end with all the reactions we got! We are so excited and so blessed to have friends and family just as excited or even more as us!

new car owners

Ry got his Christmas present early this year! A SHINY NEW CAR!

He has been driving an old car for a long time now and he totally deserves this fancy car! He is such a hard worker and he got his DREAM CAR!

he is in heaven! LOVING the fact that this is HIS!

I remember when I first bought my car..I couldn't wait to drive it everywhere..driving to work was exciting! He is so happy and it makes me so happy to see him happy!

He picked me up from work the other day and took me to lunch! I have a new chauffeur! haha

Congrats to my hubby!!

20 weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

 

How far along? 20 weeks! Halfway there!

Size of baby: Banana

 

Weight Gain: I have gained all my weight back that I lost in the first trimester..back to my original weight:-)

 

Maternity Clothes: not yet..but I bought some online at a black friday sale! Can't wait to wear them!

 

Gender: WE KNOW!!! and our family & best friends know..announcing to everyone else in our christmas card:-)

Movement: everyday!! BEST FEELING!!

Sleep: good..having lots of crazy dreams (dreamt I was on a cruise ship while it was sinking-yikes!)

Symptoms: back aches:-(

What I miss: coffee..I didn't usually drink alot of it but for some reason the smell of it makes me want it so bad!

Cravings: ice cream!..so glad my sweet tooth came back..was getting worried there for a while

Aversions: chicken is still gross

Best moment this week: Finding out the gender of our baby and telling our family and close friends!

What I am looking forward to: our gender reveal photo shoot and sending out our christmas cards!
