low key easter

how was your easter? Ours was nice..very low key..we didn't get to see any family that day but got a little bit of family time this weekend. On friday, me and ry drove to hoover (about an hour away) to visit with ry's stepmoms brother and sister in law in their beautiful home! Ry's dad and stepmom and some friends were visiting so we had a big get together and had a shrimp boil!

it was sooo yummy!!

Saturday..they all came to see us..to see our new home and meet our pup.  Ry's dad and stepmom SURPRISED us with a brand new GRILL!! what a sweet surprise, they spoil us sooo much!!!

so Sunday me and ry cooked an EASTER FEAST!! Such a yummy dinner we made..my husband is such an amazing cook..especially on the grill! we lived in an apartment and weren't allowed a grill so it was sooo nice to be able to cook and eat off one!! 

we made steaks, grilled pineapple, baked potatoes and bacon wrapped green beans (thanks pinterest) 

my hubby is in heaven! He wanted a grill so bad!!! :-)

I just realized that this whole post is about food..geez..how are we not 300 lbs each? we LOVE to eat and try new things and cook as a couple! Ry just said that our next vacation should be a road trip to visit all the diners, drive ins and dives from the show on the food network..
