Turkey Day 2010

how was your thanksgiving break?! Mine was a great one..in fact..it was so great that it was sooo much harder to go back to work today! boo..real world!
anyway..Thanksgiving is probably one of my favorite holidays..and this year..to be honest I was dreading it..I knew it was going to be hard because it was the first Thanksgiving EVER that I didn't get to see my mom, dad and brother..and to top it all off..Ry had to work..ALL DAY!:-(
well..it was a very good day! I woke up and me and Shiloh watched the Macy's parade together..and then I got ready to go to gma & gpas..it was really hard to leave her on a holiday..and I know dogs don't know better..but I gave her some leftover turkey when I got home! well driving to gma and gpas was quite interesting..i realized that I have never driven on this day before..we've always had people over to our house..it was wierd..and ALOT of freaken traffic..UH..well I made to gmas and gpas and we had a fun day! We ate a YUMMY thanksgiving dinner, and me and gma hung out and talked about wedding planning and craft making! I got to skype with brother and talk to mom and dad..Ry got off about 3 but was too tired to drive alll the way to gma and gpas so he and barron had a thanksgiving meal together...it was a nice relaxing day..but I still really missed my family and boy and puppy..I think next year we will have to have Thanksgiving at our place..

so because Ry had to work..he was pretty upset..this was his first BIG holiday where he didn't see family..and I wasn't home and he was worried about me all day because he knew I was going to be upset without my family..holidays are hard...

he was pretty upset, so of course gma sent me home with TONS of leftovers including our very own pumpkin pie and on friday nite..I made ry and me a leftover thanksgiving dinner! Just the two of us (and shi too) and I think he felt much better..these holidays are going to take some getting used to without all our yearly traditions and regularness..

but I had a 4 day weekend off work! WOOOOHOOOO~thank god..I needed it..and my weekend consisted of holiday shopping with korby, me and Ry bought christmas decorations and decorated the apt and we decorated our first christmas tree (I will post pictures soon)

SUPER SUPER cute movie!!! I think it's my new favorite disney movie..she's my favorite princess and he's a handsome cartoon prince! haha go see it..worth the money in the theatre!

and then yesterday I had a jewelry party!

BEAUTIFUL jewelry and me being the host..I get FREE jewelry..it was alot of fun..some friends came and even brought their moms..we had alot of fun..I'm considering becoming a consultant for lia sophia..to make some extra cash on the side..might wait till after the wedding though..

I was introduced to this by Britney who went to a party in VEGAS and bought me jewelry for christmas..that I LOVE! so I decided to have a party of my own! SUPER FUN..

and started my knitting, and wrapped most of my christmas presents under the tree..

a very productive/relaxing but busy weekend! I can't wait for CHRISTMAS and my FAMILY IS COMING!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

update

life has been so busy lately..but thats how I like it..
me and Ry went taste testing for our wedding menu!!! Holy cow it was so much fun! Adrienne (the caterer) is sooooo nice and awesome. She invited us to her store where she had a cute table for two set up..she showed up albums with pictures of places that she has catered and she cooked some really yummy food for us! She cooks everything from scratch and wow was it yummy..and hard to pick..but we picked out some good stuff..and needless to say..I don't think people will starve at our wedding! YUM!!!

My friend Mercedes came over with her two doggies Maple and Jack..and we had a puppy date..Shiloh was very excited to have friends come over..and we took the doggies to the puppy park..and they had a BLAST! except..Shiloh was a bit unsocial..which i thought was wierd..but I think she had fun!

hahahaha I LOVE this picture!! we were trying so hard to get the doggies to take a picture together..but it just wasen't working..jack didn't even get in the picture because he couldn't sit still..

this picture is priceless..because is shi escaping and maple has that look on her face like.."ur gonna get in trouble" and you can see my finger in the corner telling her to stay! haha it was a fun day!! I love our pups!

Shiloh's wish list

Me and Ry really don't want any Christmas gifts this year mainly because of all the upcoming wedding expenses. But Shiloh has been a very good doggie this year and she is asking santa for this:

a kong toy to play with

a hammock for mommy's car so that she dosen't get her fur everywhere and she's safe by not always trying to get in the front seat. 

a FURminator..so that she won't get all her doggy hair everywhere 

a nice down jacket for when it starts to get cold out..

a placemat for her food bowls because she's such a messy eater.. 

a nice new doggy bed..one that really smooshy where she can curl up into a ball still and keep her back warm.. 

NO STUFFING doggie toys..so she dosen't get in trouble for getting stuffing everywhere..

and pup corn..yum!

I hope santa knows she has a new home this year and brings her some stuff off her wish list.:-)

ADDICTED to skype

I finally downloaded skype and am having so much fun with it!! I have skyped with Linnea..

I feel like I went to Chicago today!! it was so cool! I got to show mommy my scrap pages from scrap night..dad got to see Shiloh and I gave Linnea a virtual tour of our apt! This is WAY better than talking on the phone! I LOVE IT!!!

Christmas spirit

One of my anniversary presents from Ry in was a gift card for me and a friend to go to sips and strokes! I finally found one I really wanted to do so I chose to do a christmas one and invited Heidi to go with! It was so much fun!! I think this one was my FAVORITE one to paint! It's pretty funny that I painted a CHRISTMAS painting from my anniversary present in JULY.

I wanna do another Christmas one! Hopefully they have a cute one in December and I can take my gma and cousin! I'm already in the Christmas spirit! I love christmastime..I have my christmas channel marked on my pandora radio at work..I just haven't started putting up decorations..I will wait until after turkey day..like ur suppossed to..but I will still listen to christmas carols in November and get a head start on my christmas shopping! Excited for my family to come back to visit for Christmas too!!

This is SQUISHY...

that is not his real name..his name is really Gabe..but I renamed him squishy because he's the squishiest baby I've ever seen!

I've been helping his mommy out and watching him some weekends and sometimes I pick him up from daycare during the week after work and watch him till his mommy gets off. His mommy is jennifer, my friend from PI, they are getting into blackout season for christmas and she needs someone to watch him while she works overtime..so I do..cause he's cute..and I could use the money:-) He's really a very good baby..I watched him saturday and sunday and I just popped him in his sit and play and he watched football with Ry.. 

so work is BORING..Oct is our SLOW month..so I've found things to keep me busy...my desk is right by the door..so I can see out the window without getting up..everyday I look out at this beautiful tree and watch how it changes..I thought I would snap some shots of how it looks when the seasons change..

last week..me and Ry went to the mall..and of course they are already decorated and ready for christmas..santa and all..well we walked through macy's and they had a cupcake tree!! I took this pic for mom..
